So many ways to be.

A place, not just a postcard

Come for the blue.
Stay for everything else.

There is more here than the view. Make space for the stories behind a sacred site, a conversation with a local maker, or a morning without a schedule.

01

Meet the islands on their terms.

Choose local guides. Ask before photographing people or entering sacred places. Leave coral, shells, and wildlife where they belong.

The bigger picture

Five archipelagos.
A whole ocean apart.

The Society Islands are a beginning. Beyond them, each island group brings a different landscape and rhythm. Build your trip around the distances, with time to settle in.

01When to visit

May to October is generally drier in the Society Islands. November to April tends to be warmer and wetter. Conditions differ across the archipelagos, so plan for the islands you’re actually visiting.

02Getting between islands

Use Tahiti as your starting point. Moorea has regular ferry connections; many longer journeys need a domestic flight. Check the operating days, baggage rules, and transfer arrangements directly with your carrier.

03Money & everyday spending

The local currency is the Pacific franc (XPF, also called CFP). Cards are useful in larger hotels and businesses, but carry local cash for smaller providers and remote islands. Ask your host about nearby cash access.
